Overview: Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4.7 million members and $22.9 billion of annual revenues, seeks an accomplished Member Service Representative

JOB TITLE: Call Center Customer Service Representative

DURATION: 6+ Month contract with possible extension

Location: REMOTE ( Candidate must reside in California )

Pay rate: $22/hr

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Client will be considering California Residents only
• Equipment’s will be provided.
• MUST have high-speed wired Internet connection. Wi-Fi / Wireless connections are not allowed.
• MUST have a reliable home-office environment.

SCHEDULE & SHIFT:

• Operations run 24/7. The position requires 40 hours per week, but they are seeking someone who is open to working weekends as well.
• The Shifts from Mon- Fri will start at 4:45 AM Till 8:00 PM and Weekends will start from 6:45 AM Pacific Time till 8:00 PM Pacific (You will be assigned an 8-hour Shift during these times)
• Training will be 6 weeks and hours for training will be 8a – 4:30p (M-F) – 100% attendance required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Handle inbound calls from members with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
• Resolve member issues related to prescriptions (RX), primary care providers (PCP), benefits, and eligibility.
• Accurately document all call details, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the system.
• Provide clear explanations of benefits, eligibility, and coverage policies in simple terms.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate departments while ensuring smooth hand-offs.
• Meet or exceed performance goals, including call quality, accuracy, and first-call resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plan policies, benefits, and procedures to deliver accurate support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma OR GED is required.
• Must have 3-5 years of customer/patient service experience within healthcare or insurance call center industry.
• Strong proficiency with computers, phone systems, and related technology.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
