Senior Director, Agentic Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Agentic Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This senior leadership role will shape the vision for AI-enabled engineering capabilities that improve how teams build, evaluate, and scale internal workflows. You will lead a shared platform strategy, partner closely with Product, Security, and Legal, and drive adoption across a global organization. The role is focused on creating practical, responsible automation that increases operational efficiency and enables multiple teams to work more effectively.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $300,000 – $360,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and roadmap for agentic engineering aligned with business priorities
• Build and lead teams focused on shared agentic platform capabilities
• Create a user-friendly platform to streamline workflows for multiple teams
• Collaborate with retail and platform leaders to identify and launch key use cases
• Establish an evaluation system for agent performance and output quality
• Integrate responsible AI practices and data protection into platform design
• Define standards, ownership boundaries, and processes for agentic development
• Drive measurable adoption and change across global teams through workflow redesign

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering or a related field with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Proven track record of leading senior technical talent and building high-performing teams
• Experience defining and scaling internal platforms or developer capabilities in multi-product contexts
• Demonstrated ability with AI-enabled systems, including evaluation and automation frameworks
• Skilled in partnering with diverse stakeholders including Product, Security, and Legal teams
• Adept at leading organizational change, including workflow and enablement at scale
• Effective communicator of complex technical concepts to various audiences
