Job Description

Creative feedback can become difficult to follow when comments, file versions, and approval decisions live in different places.

As our Senior Product Designer, you will make those workflows easier to understand. You will design how people review media, compare versions, respond to comments, and know when work is ready to publish.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will partner with a Product Manager and an engineering team, with support from the Head of Design and fellow designers.

  • Employment: Full-time, permanent W-2 employee.
  • Base salary: $145,000–$175,000 annually before taxes, paid biweekly.

About Framehaven

Framehaven builds an online review and approval platform for creative agencies, production studios, and in-house marketing teams.

Our tools help people leave precise feedback, track revisions, and record decisions without losing context. We are a remote-first team headquartered in Seattle.

What You’ll Work On

Your initial focus will be the experience of reviewing and approving creative work. Projects may include helping occasional reviewers find their way around a shared link, making version changes easier to understand, or clarifying permissions and approval status.

You will follow your work through research, design, implementation, and evaluation after release.

What You’ll Do

  • Interview customers and observe how creators and reviewers work together.
  • Map workflows and identify where confusion or unnecessary effort occurs.
  • Explore solutions through sketches, interaction flows, and prototypes.
  • Run usability sessions and explain what the findings support—and what remains uncertain.
  • Produce detailed interface designs covering loading, empty, error, and permission states.
  • Design for keyboard navigation, clear contrast, and understandable interactions.
  • Work with engineers to resolve implementation details and review the finished experience.
  • Contribute reusable patterns and components to the design system.
  • Use customer feedback and product data to assess results and prioritize improvements.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least five years of professional digital product design experience.
  • A portfolio showing shipped products and your contribution to their development.
  • Strong interaction design and visual design skills.
  • Experience simplifying workflows with multiple steps, user roles, or permissions.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including components and interactive prototyping.
  • Practical experience conducting interviews and usability testing.
  • The ability to explain design decisions and balance user needs with technical constraints.
  • Clear written and spoken English and effective remote collaboration habits.

A design degree is welcome but not required. Coding skills are not required.

Nice to Have

Experience with B2B SaaS, collaboration tools, creative software, media players, or browser-based annotation. Familiarity with design systems and accessible interaction patterns is particularly useful.

Your Scope and Support

You will own design for one product area at a time. The Product Manager coordinates priorities, and Engineering owns implementation.

Customer Experience helps recruit research participants and shares recurring support issues. The Head of Design provides regular critique and helps resolve decisions that affect multiple areas of the product.

You will not be responsible for marketing campaigns, brand production, or people management.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $145,000–$175,000. Offers reflect relevant experience, portfolio evidence, and demonstrated ownership of product outcomes. The same range applies across U.S. locations.

Compensation is reviewed annually. This sample package includes no annual cash bonus or equity grant.

  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage from your first day. Framehaven covers 100% of employee premiums and 60% of dependent premiums.
