Position Overview

Deerfield Insurance Agency is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support our personal lines clients and producers.

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for day-to-day client service, policy administration, and account support. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional and timely manner.

Prior insurance experience is preferred; however, we will consider candidates with strong customer service and administrative experience who demonstrate an interest in developing a career in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and responsive service to clients by phone, email, and in person
• Respond to client questions regarding policies, billing, coverage, and other service needs
• Process policy changes, endorsements, and related documentation
• Review policies and documents for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with policy renewals and remarketing as needed
• Support producers with ongoing client and account service needs
• Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain information, resolve issues, and facilitate client requests
• Maintain complete and accurate client records in the agency management system
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding client and carrier requests
• Perform other account servicing and administrative responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Prior insurance experience preferred; personal lines experience is a plus
• Illinois Property & Casualty insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain a license within two months of hire
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks
• Strong follow-through and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and general business technology
• Experience with HawkSoft or another insurance agency management system is a plus

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Position is based in our Deerfield, Illinois office
• Hybrid work schedule available following an initial in-office training period
