Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications with a focus on scalability and performance optimization
• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within scope
• Design system architecture components utilizing design patterns and microservices architecture principles
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to enable smooth communication between different systems and services
• Integrate front-end technologies such as JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for comprehensive web development projects
• Work with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or Azure to deploy and manage applications effectively
• Implement version control using tools like GitHub, SVN, or Git to ensure code integrity and collaboration efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development with strong proficiency in Java programming language
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components and how they support application deployment
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus for backend integration tasks
• Familiarity with REST API design, system design for scalable systems, and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or MS SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is advantageous
• Experience working within Agile software development methodologies and using CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git or SVN; experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps preferred
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure services such as AWS or Azure for application hosting and scalability
• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, C#, C++, or C# is beneficial for cross-functional collaboration
• Strong grasp of software design principles, patterns, and best practices in software engineering
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Pay: $18.00 - $135.00 per hour
