Job Description

Role Overview

Our client is looking to appoint an Odoo Technical Analyst & ERP Developer to support the design, development, and technical implementation of Odoo ERP solutions. This role requires a strong blend of technical development capability, analytical thinking, and business process understanding.

The position acts as a critical bridge between functional requirements and technical execution, ensuring that the ERP system is scalable, reliable, and aligned with operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation & System Configuration

  • Lead technical configuration across Odoo modules including CRM, Sales, Inventory, and Accounting
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system logic

Custom Development & Enhancements

  • Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python and XML
  • Extend and modify standard Odoo functionalities through APIs and framework customization

Data Migration & Technical Analysis

  • Design and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure integrity

Integration & Automation

  • Integrate Odoo with third-party platforms (e-commerce, payment gateways, logistics providers)
  • Develop APIs and manage XML-RPC / REST integrations

Testing, Documentation & Support

  • Conduct unit testing, system testing, and support UAT cycles
  • Produce technical documentation and end-user guides
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting

Candidate Profile

Odoo & Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Odoo architecture (MVC) and ORM
  • Experience with Odoo v15+ environments
  • Prior exposure to OpenERP legacy systems is a plus

Development & Technology Stack

  • Advanced Python development skills
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and QWeb
  • Experience with Git version control, Docker, and Linux environments

Database & Data Management

  • Strong PostgreSQL expertise, including schema optimization and complex queries
  • Ability to write SQL scripts for analysis and system diagnostics
