Machinery Sourcing Agent – Commission-Based Opportunity

About the business

Global Machinery specialises in sourcing and exporting used construction and agricultural machinery across the UK and Europe.

I’m looking for a motivated, reliable person to work directly with me on machinery sourcing, building relationships with sellers and growing the business.

What you’ll do

• Search Facebook, online marketplaces and machinery websites for suitable equipment.
• Call owners, farmers and machinery businesses to discuss machines they may be willing to sell.
• Follow up with sellers by phone, email and messages.
• Collect prices, photographs, videos, specifications and machine locations.
• Keep organised lead records and pass suitable opportunities to me for assessment and negotiation.

You’ll help source excavators, wheel loaders, combine harvesters and other machinery using the buying requirements I provide.

Who I’m looking for

• Someone confident speaking to new people and making outbound calls.
• An organised, proactive person who follows up consistently.
• Someone comfortable researching online and using Facebook.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative and help build the business.

French or German language skills would be a particular advantage. Machinery experience and other European languages are useful but not essential.

Training and availability

Initial training will take place in the office, working directly with me to learn about the machinery requirements and sourcing process.

Hours and availability will be agreed before starting. You’ll need to coordinate with me for training, seller calls and follow-ups. Working arrangements after training will be discussed together.

Payment and progression

The proposed starting arrangement is commission based, subject to confirming the appropriate employment status and applicable minimum-pay requirements.

Commission amounts, qualifying purchases and payment dates will be agreed in writing before work begins. Earnings will depend on successful deals under those terms.

I’m looking for someone who understands that finding deals takes patience and consistent effort, and who is motivated to grow with the business.

As the business develops, strong performance could lead to a salaried role with greater responsibility. This is a possibility, not a guarantee.
