Job Description
Who We Are
Saucy Marketing is a full-service marketing agency built for the food and beverage world. We’re a small, scrappy, creative team that believes great food deserves great marketing — and when we say “full-service,” we mean it! We bring a mix of curiosity, strategy, data, and (of course) flavor to everything we make.
Our Vision
We’re the marketing partner every food and beverage business wishes they’d found sooner. We build brands people crave, from the menu on the table to the label on the shelf to the sell sheet in a buyer’s hands to the review on Google, and we do it with personality, speed, and an approachable, can-do attitude. We’re growing, and we want the right person to grow with us.
Our Clients
We work across the whole food and beverage ecosystem:
- Restaurants, bars, and cafés, from new concepts to established favorites
- Catering companies and event venues looking to fill their calendars and wow their guests
- Food and beverage CPG brands launching or refreshing products, packaging, and retail presence
- Food distributors and suppliers who need to stand out to the operators, buyers, and reps they sell to
Our clients are busy, passionate, and, most importantly, not looking to become marketers. They hire us to take it all off their plates, and that’s where you come in!
The Role
We’re looking for a Jr. Marketing Specialist/Graphic Designer to be part of the creative engine behind our client work. You’ll turn each client’s goals and events into a clear list of what’s needed, then create it, keeping every deliverable on brand and on time across multiple clients at once. You take creative direction well, you’re organized and resourceful, and you can tell when a design is 90% there versus truly done.
What You’ll Do
- Break down client goals, campaigns, and events into clear checklists and timelines of the deliverables needed
- Create and produce those deliverables across multiple clients at once, following creative direction and keeping everything on brand and on deadline
- Build and update web pages and website content
- Create, schedule, and post social media content across client accounts, including reels and short-form video
- Write content: captions, blogs, email copy, web copy, menu descriptions, and product copy
- Design graphics, menus, and CPG packaging projects from first draft to final files
- Develop B2B and trade marketing materials for distributors and suppliers: sell sheets, line sheets, catalogs, and trade show materials
- Shoot and edit photography and videography, including food, beverage, product, and lifestyle
- Attend major festivals, cookoffs, and community events to capture content for client social channels
- Identify influencer marketing opportunities and coordinate influencer collaborations from inquiry to content delivery
- Monitor and respond to Google reviews and support online reputation efforts
- Keep files, assets, and approvals organized in our client portal
- Build repeatable systems, checklists, and workflows so nothing falls through the cracks
What You Bring
- Exceptional graphic design skills (absolutely required). Design needs to be a huge strength, and your portfolio should show it, ideally including menus, packaging, social graphics, or sales collateral
- Experience juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a marketing, creative, or agency environment
- The ability to take creative direction and feedback gracefully, and turn revisions around quickly
- Solid skills in social media content and writing
- Comfort switching between consumer-facing marketing (restaurants, CPG) and B2B marketing (distributors, suppliers)
- Comfort working in project management or client portal tools and the ability to pick up new tools quickly
- Strong written communication and a keen eye for brand consistency and quality
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and the ability to prioritize when everything feels urgent
- A genuine love of food and hospitality!
Major Plus (We aren’t expecting you to have everything!)
Creative range: Web design, photography, videography, reel editing, influencer marketing, and reputation management
Restaurant and food-service platforms: Back-end experience with Toast, MarginEdge, Incentivio, Square, or similar POS, online ordering, loyalty, and back-office systems
