vMix Specialist / Sports Production Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a vMix operator who is familiar with the sport of hockey. We have several local hockey clients in need of live broadcasts. Each game typically lasts up to 2 hours or so and there could be several games per week. The schedule would be known in advance most of the time and you’d have the option to take the gigs as you are available and as you perform well. This is NOT a full-time position, we are expecting maybe a maximum of 2 games per week for a total of 5-6 hours or so.

Responsibilities

• Be reliable and punctual.
• Be the director - switch to multiple cameras, support the announcers, run secondary apps as needed, manage instant replays.
• Be accountable for the viewing product. Consistently monitor the end-user platform (ie: YouTube, Twitch, etc) to ensure the audience is being served. If there are technical issues, be quick to know, respond and resolve.

Qualifications

• Have a working knowledge of vMix program. Doesn’t have to be advanced, we are willing to coach and teach the right individual.
• Solid knowledge of the sport of hockey.
• Have excellent upload speed (20 or higher) and a powerful, gaming-speed computer.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail. (No typos, find an error, fix it fast!)
• Comfortable using technology and streaming platforms to deliver high-quality content.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think on your feet during live sessions.
