Freelance Designer

Overview

We’re putting together a freelance roster of junior creatives for commercial projects, working project by project.

We’re looking for filmmakers, directors and creatives who generate images and video with AI and actually care about what’s in the frame. Not operators. People with taste.

This is a Junior position.

What you’d do

• Generate images and video with AI for commercial projects, from concept to final frames
• Work shot by shot with the director and the rest of the team, not off on your own
• Build cinematic coverage. Lens, light, framing, continuity, the same thinking you’d bring to a set
• Clean up and finish your own output in Photoshop and Lightroom
• Iterate, a lot. The first result is never the one that ships

What you need

• Solid Photoshop and Lightroom
• Real storytelling instinct. You should be able to say why a shot works, not just that it looks cool
• Cinematography fundamentals: lenses, lighting, composition, how a sequence cuts together
• You like working alongside other creatives. Most of this job is conversation

Nice to have

• After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender
• VFX, compositing, motion graphics in general
• Whatever AI tools you already live in. Tell us which ones and what you’ve gotten out of them
