E-commerce Assistant

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing online retailer, for an entry-level E-commerce Assistant to join their remote team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to get hands-on experience with online storefronts, order management, and digital merchandising while working alongside a supportive e-commerce operations team.

Day to day, you will keep product listings accurate, track orders through fulfillment, and help resolve customer questions quickly and clearly. COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000 per year , based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain product listings across the company’s online store
• Monitor inventory levels and flag low-stock or discrepancy issues
• Process customer orders and track shipments through fulfillment
• Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat in a timely manner
• Assist with uploading product images, descriptions, and pricing updates
• Support promotional campaigns and seasonal sales events
• Reconcile order and returns data using spreadsheets and internal systems
• Coordinate with warehouse or fulfillment partners on order status
• Help monitor website functionality and report technical issues
• Assist the e-commerce team with basic reporting and data entry

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong written communication skills for customer-facing correspondence
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic data entry
• Familiarity with online shopping platforms or e-commerce tools is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
• Prior retail, customer service, or administrative experience is a plus
