Job Description

As a Landscape Designer for Elitescapes, you will work remotely, both assisting with and taking ownership of design-related tasks.

What You Will Do

• Produce professional-grade landscape designs that reflect and account for the client’s desires, budget, site conditions, and other factors.

• Use Plant Master, or similar software, to help identify plants for designs and compile plant information (e.g., bloom time, maintenance requirements) to share with the client.

• Organize Plant Master to efficiently identify plants suited to the Washington DC plant zone and to specific requirements (e.g., shade perennials).

There is also the potential to work in areas outside of design. You may have the opportunity to:

• Interface with clients and provide client support

• Take ownership of leads, including communicating with leads and creating proposals

• Earn commission for winning sales opportunities

• Provide feedback and edits on documents, templates, and marketing materials

• Design marketing materials

• Work with the operations team on-site at projects

Job Qualifications

• On track to receive a degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or a similar field

• Professional communication

Schedule

• Average 5-20 hours per week (minimum average of 5 hours per week)

• Set and communicate your own schedule

Compensation

Get paid for each design. The payout for each design will be presented before you begin work on that project. You may choose not to take on a particular project, but you must communicate that in a timely manner.

Payout Schedule: Weekly on Fridays

Commission (Optional): Landscape Design Interns may have the opportunity to earn commission when a proposal they create is accepted. Proposals are created using estimator tools provided by Elitescapes.

Our Three-Step Interview Process

• A portfolio of projects you have worked on and/or references

• Your resume

• A cover letter

1. Schedule and complete a video call (10-15 minutes)

2. Complete a trial week of work (start as soon as this week)
