Sanity Developer (CMS) - £550 per day (3 month contract)

Up to £550 per day, 3 month remote contract, Outside IR35, Sanity Developer (CMS), Start by 26th October.

A top digital/ advertising agency are looking at a rebuild from Drupal onto Sanity (Enterprise) - Phase 2 Create (experience design, content strategy, design and content sprints, technical solution definition) and Phase 3 Build / Launch.

You will have extensive digital/ creative/ advertising agency experience as well.

Deliverables:

• Sanity content model and Studio configuration - structured content (200+ services, locations, resources), editorial workflows and roles.

• Internationalisation - EN master with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish

• Drupal to Sanity content migration

• Front-end templates and components WCAG 2.2 AA

• Integrations - HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4 / GTM

• AI search & guided wayfinding (Sanity) - embeddings-based search and AI-ready structured content

• Environments, preview / CI pipeline, sprint demos, UAT defect fixing in Jira, technical documentation for hand-off

Experience required:

• 3+ years building full-stack web applications in production; senior level

• Hands-on production experience with Sanity.io - content modelling, GROQ, Studio customisation and custom input components (required)

• Shipped at least two production Sanity.io projects with a live URL

• Experience designing and building headless architectures end to end, not just consuming a pre-configured CMS

• Strong TypeScript, React / Node.js . Next.js or equivalent

• Clean content migrations that do not break downstream consumers

• Rendering strategy (SSR / ISR), image optimisation, SEO fundamentals and Core Web Vitals built in from the start

• Multilingual / localised content in Sanity - document-level translation, fallback hierarchy, locale routing

• CRM and analytics integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4 / GTM) with clean abstractions and resilience to upstream change

• Preview environments, CI checks, rollback; error handling and observability

• Accessible, maintainable component code (WCAG 2.2 AA) that matches design intent

• Documents architectural decisions so the codebase can be extended or handed to the client team

Preferred

• Sanity AI / embeddings features (embeddings index, Sanity Context plugin) or search implementations on structured content

• Enterprise B2B / professional or financial services sites with 200+ structured service and location pages

• Experience onboarding or pairing with an in-house client developer
