Virtual Customer Experience & Sales Assistant

The Naked Cupcake is looking for a highly organized, personable Virtual Customer Experience & Sales Assistant to help manage customer inquiries, custom orders, and follow-through.

This is not just an admin role. You’ll talk directly with customers, help turn inquiries into orders, and make sure every detail is documented and communicated so nothing falls through the cracks.

What You’ll Do

• Answer customer calls and conduct scheduled custom-order consultations
• Respond to leads quickly and provide warm, confident customer service
• Ask the right questions, recommend options, and help convert inquiries into sales
• Gather and document all details needed for custom orders
• Coordinate order information with our bakery and decorating teams
• Follow up with customers and keep track of outstanding items
• Own your tasks from start to finish—no dropped balls or open loops
• Assist with occasional administrative projects as needed

We’re Looking for Someone Who…

• Has previous customer service, administrative, VA, or sales experience
• Is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Is confident and personable on the phone
• Can manage multiple priorities without needing constant reminders
• Notices missing information and takes initiative to get answers
• Is proactive but knows when to ask before making a decision
• Is tech-savvy and comfortable with Google Drive/Google Workspace
• Learns new systems quickly

Bakery, custom cake, catering, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required. We’ll teach you our products and processes.

Schedule

Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with opportunity for more.

Much of the work is flexible, but you must be available Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 AM–1 PM Eastern for customer calls. There will also be scheduled customer consultations at mutually agreed-upon times during the week.

This is a remote 1099 independent contractor position and applicants may be located anywhere in the U.S.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
