Job Description

About the Company

For twenty–five years, Credit.com has empowered consumers with the education, tools and support they need to build lasting financial security. We are committed to helping you access and understand your credit scores, find the right credit cards and financial products for you, and take back control of your credit.

About the Role

Credit is one of the most stressful parts of people’s financial lives, and good design makes it easier. As our UX / Product Designer, you’ll see the impact of your work in real customer outcomes and business results. You’ll join early in a major redesign of the Credit.com experience, so the decisions you make will shape the product for years. You’ll partner closely with product, marketing, content and SEO, compliance, and engineering.

Work Location

This position is offered in a hybrid or remote work arrangement.

  • Hybrid: Candidates located within the greater Salt Lake City, Utah metropolitan area are expected to work from our office Tuesday through Thursday , with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Remote: Candidates residing outside the Salt Lake City metro area may be considered for remote employment if they live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Utah .

Applicants must reside and be authorized to work in one of the approved states listed above at the time of hire and throughout employment.

What You’ll Do

  • Audit the current web and mobile experience across all brands, including UX, information architecture, navigation, content, and calls to action, and turn findings into a prioritized roadmap.
  • Map end-to-end customer journeys, from first visit through enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing membership, and identify the moments that matter most.
  • Work with Product to design a clear site architecture and navigation model that guides consumers to the right product or service: credit repair, monitoring and scores, credit-building tools, personal loans, credit cards, and insurance.
  • Redesign key experiences, including the homepage, product and category pages, educational content and article templates, sign-up and enrollment flows, and member account views.
  • Design mobile-first, accessible (WCAG) experiences that work well on small screens, and keep the experience consistent between web and app.
  • Plan and run user research and usability testing to validate decisions, and design experiments (A/B tests) that improve engagement and conversion.
  • Partner with content and SEO teams so page structure and UX support organic search performance.
  • Establish or extend a shared design system and component library so experiences stay consistent across web and mobile.
  • Deliver user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes, with documentation ready for development handoff.
  • Design co-branded landing pages for partners, built on the same patterns and components.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX or product design experience, including end-to-end customer journeys across web and mobile.

Required Skills

  • Strong information architecture and UX strategy skills, with a track record of turning a broad, multi-product offering into a clear, guided experience.
  • Experience designing for conversion and retention: enrollment and onboarding flows, funnel and landing page design, CTA strategy, and A/B-testable layouts.
  • Hands-on experience planning and running user research and usability testing.
  • Working knowledge of how UX and content structure affect SEO.
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems.
  • Fluency in Figma, and the ability to produce developer-ready wireframes, prototypes, and specs.
  • Strong responsive and mobile design skills, including familiarity with iOS and Android design conventions.
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Clear communication and comfort working with marketing, product, compliance, and engineering partners, often independently and at pace.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, insurance, or another regulated industry, including designing within disclosure requirements.
  • Experience designing native mobile apps from concept through launch.
  • Experience with co-branded or partner-facing experiences, or with SEO-driven content design.
